User Groups Feature Beta Launch

We are excited to announce the launch of the closed Beta for user groups! User groups allows you to organize users by assigning them to a group. You will be able to reference these groups in different parts and features of the platform.

We are actively recruiting beta participants to help test user groups. If you would like to participate, please let us know in our community thread (coming soon) or reach out to your CSM/GAM.

NOTE

User groups is available for Enterprise plans and above.

User Groups will be available in the platform and can be referenced in Approvals only for now. More areas of compatibility coming soon.

Automations Updates

  • Improved performance of the Automations Editor when editing logic blocks on large instances
  • Automations with connector functions that fail now show "Connector function execution" failed in the run history instead of "Internal error", which helps clarify that the issue is with the connector function, not the automations service.

  • Now, in machine triggers, repeatedly using the Clear action on a Machine Activity Field will always fire an automation with the corresponding Machine Activity Updated event, even if the field is already cleared. Additionally, repeatedly using the Create Machine State action with the same machine state will always fire an automation with the corresponding Machine Activity Updated event. Previously, repetitions of these actions would not fire additional automations.

  • News feed events have been added for automations.

  • When executing an automation test run, users can now select between different connector function environments to use for the test run.

Analytics Updates

In the Analytics Editor, users can show data labels for bar charts, enabling them to view the exact values without having to hover over a bar to show its tooltip. Data label size is configurable for analyses shown in analysis widget in apps.

Universal Template

  • New analyses now default to universal template.

  • For Universal template analyses using the table visualization, the horizontal alignment for each column can be now configured. This is especially helpful for numeric values in combination with setting a specific decimal precision so that you can easily compare numbers.

Copilot Updates

  • Improved copilot operator widget reference visualization .

  • Users can see training status in the Copilot widget UI in the App Editor.

CELOS App Message Change

The change makes the "app.tulip.changeApp" message from the CELOS X environment load the first step of the target app instead of the splash screen.

UI Updates

  • In various places across the platform, we've made a small change to the font color of smaller helper text.

  • On the Apps page, users will now see that the Column picker in the context pane for some widgets will now have light blue backgrounds instead of black ones when selected.

Bug Fixes

Release 281 contains multiple bug fixes that we want to highlight because they were reported by users:

  • Fixed an issue in the app editor where "..." menu actions wouldn't always apply to the item the user clicked on.

  • Fixed an issue where importing applications across workspaces archives custom user fields in the destination workspace.

  • Fix on the Create Api Token modal where the created api token didn't show up in the list page and the uploaded avatar was ignored.

  • Fixed issue where automations failed to find users that have a custom role assigned to them.

  • Fixed an issue where users were not able to transition to apps that were not assigned to their station.

  • Fixed an issue where app imports would fail due to widget issues.

  • Fixed an issue where the Datasource picker would pick the wrong aggregation when there were several available.

  • Fixed an issue in the Analytics Editor where some expressions used in the operation tab don't get a custom header field.

  • Fixed a regression where table record widgets were able to be scrolled if the datasource was a text-like field.

  • Fixed filters in the Analytics Editor, "Newer than" and "Older than", for dates is not considered while building analysis

  • Fixed a bug when using an Expression involving a Machine Downtime Reason or a Machine State in an Analysis.
