With Release 262 we are introducing features that improve connector creation, navigation and organization of your apps, and visualizations in Analytics.
Let us know your thoughts and questions in Tulip Community!
Introducing Quick Connectors
This new feature allows you to easily access and utilize connectors from the Library when creating new connectors, offering the convenience of ready-made templates or the flexibility to craft custom connectors from scratch.
Apps List Improvements
Archiving Folders
You can now restore archived child folders without restoring the parent folder. This removes the need for unwanted additional folders to be added back to your apps page to retrieve the ones that you do want. Also, the Archive view now displays “Date Archived” instead of “Date Last Modified”.
We have also updated the Folder icon and sorting toggle in the list view to clarify app organization settings.
Enhancements in Analytics
We have added tick marks to the Gauge chart visualization to distinguish values at a glance.
Also, we have added an empty state to the Universal Template page that shows how to get started with the Universal Template.
Bug Fix Highlights
Release 262 contains a couple bug fixes that we want to highlight because they were reported by users:
- Operator logout is reliably enforced on iPhone and iPad when the browser or Tulip App is moved to the background or the device screen is locked
- Resolved an issue where connectors could go into an "Unknown" state because of a race condition within the status reporting logic
- Resolved an issue where apps exported from some instances and imported on others would fail to show the connectors in those applications
- On the Dashboard page, screen timeouts are prevented so that new analysis queries are not lost
- Resolved an issue that prevented navigation of the Station Page Lean UI
- Improved ZPL trigger editor load performance
- Improved Dynamic Analysis load performance
- Resolved an issue which caused Edge Devices to erroneously display as “Offline” in the Machines page preventing users from configuring a datasource
- Resolved an issue where load order of specific connector functions would lead to the contents of the connector not loading when a single connector had hundreds of functions
