Player 2.5.0 Release - January 2024

We're excited to announce the release of Tulip Desktop Player version 2.5.0.

Version 2.5.0 of Desktop Player will be available for download by 9:00PM ET tomorrow (January 27th, 2024)! If you have auto updates enabled, the Desktop Player application will update in the background and changes will take effect the next time the application is restarted. Alternatively, you can manually initiate the update process from the file menu.

This most recent Player release addresses a few minor issues that were present in the previous version that some users may have experienced.

Feature Enhancements

• The Desktop Player now supports unicode escape sequences in messages sent by telnet and serial device driver.

Bugs Fixes, Security, and Performance Improvements

• Fixes a bug for TP Link Tapo IP Cameras which required restarting/reloading Player to get the IP camera stream working back again after the camera had powered down/shut down abruptly.

• Fixes a bug where vision would crash when used with a large number of cameras.
