Use the Mitutoyo Digital Caliper with Mitutoyo U-wave Driver

Article summary

Learn the capabilities and configuration associated with the Mitutoyo Digital Caliper with U-wave driver in Tulip.

Capabilities

The Mitutoyo Digital Caliper driver allows Tulip Apps to connect to Mitutoyo Digital Caliper tools and receive their device id and measurements.
This driver is available for both the Windows-based Tulip Player and the Tulip IoT Gateway.

Events

The driver has the capability to emit two types of events. The first type is a "length measured" event, which includes the data measured by the device. The second type is a "length measured with device ID" event, which includes both the device ID and the measured data.
It's important to clarify that the four-digit device ID mentioned here differs from the 10-digit device ID typically found on the device label. This specific device ID consists of a four-digit number format. For instance, a device ID like 0012 is structured such that the first two digits (00) represent the Group ID, while the following two digits (12) indicate the Channel ID. Users have the flexibility to modify these Group and Channel IDs using the U-WAVEPAK software on a PC.
