Purpose

The purpose of the Weighing Scale Unit Tests application is to allow users to test whether their weighing scales are connected correctly and are functioning as desired. This application is designed in order to test the Brecknell PS25 Scale, Dymo M10 Scale, Ohaus Scales and Mettler Toledo Scales.

Setup

In order for this application to be used, a compatible Weighing Scale is required. A Tulip IO Gateway might be required depending on what weighing scale you are using.

How it works

This application is designed to test whether your Weighing Scale is connected and is functioning correctly. When the application is opened, the user is is prompted with a screen asking them to select what type of weighing scale they have connected. Once the user makes the selection, they are taken to a screen with a grey box, along with instructions on how to set up their selected weighing scale. Once an item is placed on the weighing scale, the grey box should turn green and display the weight of the item in it if the device is connected correctly and is working as intended. Otherwise, the user has the option to access a support article which provides relevant instructions regarding how to setup the particular weighing scale and get it functioning.
