TulipOS 63 Release – September 2026
We're excited to announce the release of TulipOS 63 for Edge IO and Edge MC devices.
TulipOS 63 will begin rolling out to devices via auto-update on Thursday, September 10th. If your device has auto-updates enabled, it will update automatically. You can also manually trigger the update from the Device Portal.
New Features
- Disable LAN port from Device Portal. Customers can now disable the downstream LAN port on Edge devices directly from the Device Portal. When disabled, the interface carries no traffic and does not serve DHCP or DNS to connected devices. The setting persists across reboots and firmware updates, and is cleared by factory reset.
- Wired 802.1X (EAP-TLS) on LAN port. EAP-TLS authentication is now supported on the LAN (eth1) port simultaneously with the WAN port, enabling customers running certificate-based network authentication on both wired interfaces.
Bug Fixes - Fixed an issue where the Edge IO LAN port could get stuck in an unrecoverable state when switching between upstream and downstream configurations, requiring a physical reconnect to restore connectivity.
- Fixed an issue where Wi-Fi could stop functioning entirely on EMC devices after a persistent bus fault, requiring a full power cycle to recover.
- Fixed an issue where DNS queries were sent off of edge devices instead of resolving locally.
Improvements
The Connector Host now redacts sensitive data from logs at startup.
The device configuration portal performance has been significantly improved.
