Release 379 contains updates to several features and bug fixes throughout the platform.

Features and Improvements
Enterprise App Exchange
- Users can now update apps installed from the Enterprise App Exchange from the Apps page. A new "Updates" view lists installed apps that have a newer version available. Users can install the latest version and optionally save a snapshot of the current deployment version.
Enterprise Authentication
- When a SAML login attempt fails, the error message shown on the login form and the client logs now include the user's Name ID, Badge ID, and email.
- If SAML login attempts to create or update a user’s profile when the badge ID or email address is already in use, the user is shown a specific error message instead of a generic message.
Functions
- Function import changed the way it identifies functions. This affects environments that have previously imported applications referencing functions. The first re-import of an existing function will create one new version of the function, and all subsequent imports will reference the latest function.
Interfaces
- On the Interfaces page, the option to specify custom registration identifiers has been removed. All registration identifiers are now auto-generated. Existing registration links (including any with custom identifiers) continue to work.
Settings - SAML Setup
- On the SAML page in Account Settings, added an option for admin to define a custom support email address. This option enables users to contact their internal IT when they fail to log in using SAML, instead of contacting Tulip support.
Settings - Player
- In the inactivity logout settings, the logout time selector is now available before you enable the setting. The setting description was also corrected to clarify that logout is enforced when the Player app is re-opened, if it was closed for more than 20 seconds.
Bug Fixes
Release 379 contains the following bug fixes:
| Referenced Ticket | Description |
|---|---|
| PLAT-56618 | Fixed an issue where confirmation dialogs opened from a menu (such as the archive dialog) could close immediately when clicked. |
| PLAT-56450 | Fixed a grammatical error in the error messages for user login. |
| PLAT-56286 | Fixed a bug where a connector's online status could show a stale result for up to 30 seconds after a configuration change; the status now refreshes immediately. |
| PLAT-56237 | Fixed an issue where an OPC UA data source's node tree could fail to load (appearing empty) on the machine configuration page when a node did not expose a display name. |
| PLAT-56162 | In the Player, fixed a bug where uploading files to the Agent Chat widget could fail due to a permission issue. |
| PLAT-55839 | Fixed an issue where passing an empty value for the HTTP proxy environment variable (TULIP_CONNECTORS_HTTP_PROXY) to an on-premises connector host could prevent it from starting. |
| PLAT-55695 | In the App Editor, fixed an issue where copying and cutting widgets did not work in Safari. |
| PLAT-55140 | Fixed an issue where dropdown menus and inline editors could fail to close when clicking outside of them. |
| PLAT-54366 | The "Download login history" dialog now prevents selecting a start date older than the one-year data retention window, so the requested range always matches the data returned. |
| PLAT-53561 | In the Expression Editor, fixed a bug where referencing a custom widget event showed a blank label. Now, the event's name is shown instead (e.g. @Event.Loop Action). |
| PLAT-51611 | On the Player registration page, added validation to enforce unique station group names and limit long group names (limit: 500 characters). |
