We are excited to announce the release of LTS17, the latest long-term support version of the On-Premises Connector Host.
With this release, the Connector Host now supports:
A FedRAMP-compliant image
LTS17 is the first release to ship a FedRAMP-compliant On-Premises Connector Host, published with a -fedramp suffix and built on the approved UBI9 base image. FedRAMP customers should contact Tulip support for registry access and the correct image tag.
Oracle connections now support Native Network Encryption
Oracle connectors run in Thick mode again, with the Oracle Instant Client restored to the image. This means Oracle databases configured with SQLNET.ENCRYPTION_SERVER = REQUIRED or SQLNET.CRYPTO_CHECKSUM_SERVER = REQUIRED now connect successfully. Note that the FedRAMP image runs Oracle in Thin mode and does not support Native Network Encryption. For more information see: Oracle SQL Connectors with Connector Hosts
Refresh connector host credentials without contacting support
Account owners and administrators can now rotate an On-Premises Connector Host's machine secret directly from Account Settings. The new secret is shown once, and the connector host stays disconnected until you restart it with the new credentials. This action is not available for connector hosts running on Edge IO devices.
This release also includes bug fixes, performance improvements, and feature enhancements.
