Purpose

The purpose of the Temperature and Humidity Sensor Unit Tests application is to allow users to test whether their sensors are connected correctly and are functioning as desired. This application is designed in order to test Phidgets Temperature and Humidity Sensors and Lascar Temperature and Humidity Sensors.

Setup

In order for this application to be used, a Tulip Edge device and a Temperature and Humidity Sensor are required.

In order to set up the Lascar Temperature and Humidity Sensor, connect the Lascar Temperature Humidity Sensor to any USB port on the Edge device.

How it works

This application makes use of a Tulip Edge device and a Temperature and Humidity Sensor, in order to test whether your sensor is connected and is functioning correctly. When the application is opened, the user has the option to test either a Phidgets Temperature and Humidity Sensor or a Lascar Temperature and Humidity Sensor. Once the user selects which device to test, they are navigated to a screen with a grey box, and if the sensors are connected correctly and are functioning properly, the grey box will turn green and the temperature will display in Celsius and Fahrenheit and the humidity will display as well. Otherwise, the user has the option to access a support article which provides relevant instructions regarding how to setup an Edge device and a Temperature and Humidity Sensor and get it functioning.
