Digital Systems Access Management

Article summary

Digital Systems Access Management

Use this application in order to submit and manage requests for access to the various digital systems being used

Purpose

The purpose of the Digital Systems Access Management Application is to allow users to submit requests for access to various digital systems as well as to allow supervisors to review these requests and provision and take away access from digital systems as and when required.

***NOTE**** This application contains documentation to help you get up and running more quickly. Contact support@tulip.co for an Operational Flow Diagram, a Risk Assessment, and a Test Plan for a seamless GxP deployment.

Overview

This application makes use of the Digital Systems Access Management Table, the Digital Systems Table and the Digital Systems Roles Table. Every time a new Digital System access request is created, a new record for that system is created in the Digital Systems Access Management Table. The following metadata is required to create the initial Digital Systems Access Request record:

-System Name

-Role Name

-User

-Function

-Digital System Business Owner

-Digital System Technical Owner

Once the request is created, the Business Owner is notified, and the Business Owner reviews the access request, and either accepts or rejects this request. If the Business Owner approves the access request, it is routed to the Technical Owner, who then provisions access for the user requesting access to the particular system and role.

There is also an option to create a request to remove access for a specific user from a particular system. Once a request is submitted to remove access for a specific user from a particular system, this request is routed to the Technical owner, who then de-provisions access for that user to the particular system. Lastly, there is also an option to view the history of any access request, using the Tulip record history widget.
