Purpose

Lots of times a whole set of step-by-step work instructions may not be necessary. Instead, a one-step guide could really help instead. Reduce the complexity of managing step by step instructions and use this application to present relevant information. This application assumes a 1:1 relationship between a Product:Task. It can also be a great stepping stone to building out more complex Dynamic Work Instructions application. The benefits of this app enable insights into:

  • Time spent by Product

  • Time Spent by Task

  • Operator time spent by Task

Overview

This application works closely with the *Product and *Tasks Tables.

These tables are linked in the following ways:

  • The *Products Table field "TaskID" is the ID of the *Task table

  • The *Tasks Table field "Product ID/s" is the ID of the *Product Table

When a user clicks 'Save' on either the Task Builder or Product Builder the trigger is doing the linking

View 1+ Tasks By Product

As shown in the video, you can use this application to go through multiple tasks, as long as the order doesn't matter.

  1. Add an Interactive Table to the first step

  2. Link the table to the *Tasks table

  3. Add a filter on the table to filter by any task where "Product ID/s" = Product ID. The Product ID is the ID of the selected record from the *Products table

  4. Add a couple tasks to the *Tasks table that contain the same exact Product ID/s

  5. Run the application and verify that when you select a Product ID from the Product table, the Tasks table is filtering as well
