Hooray! You’ve just received your Factory Kit. Now, let’s get it up and running. 

This quick start guide will walk you through the initial unboxing and setup of your Factory Kit. This should take about two hours to complete.

Before we get's started, let's make sure you have referenced the following resources:

  1.  “Getting Started with Tulip” will walk you through how to log in to Tulip and how to set up the Tulip Player.
  2. The “Gateway Setup” app is pre-loaded in your Tulip account. It will walk you through the initial setup of the IoT Gateway. Reference “Getting Started with Tulip” to learn how to run the application. 
  3. The "Factory Kit Setup" app is also pre-loaded in your Tulip account. It will help you unit test each device as you connect them to the Gateway.  Reference “Getting Started with Tulip” to learn how to run the application.
  4. If you are setting your Factory Kit up on company network, make sure you have reviewed the “Tulip IT Requirements for a Cloud Deployment” with your IT team. Sometimes firewalls can prevent the Tulip IoT Gateway from being recognized on a managed network.

In order to set up the Gateway and Factory Kit, you'll need:

  • 2 power outlets
  • Google Chrome
  • Administrator profile in your Tulip account
  • Wired ethernet connection
