# Tulip OS 55.5 & 56.4 Release - February 2024

We are thrilled to announce the release of OS 55.5 & 56.4 which includes several exciting updates and improvements that we believe our users will appreciate.

Tulip OS 55.5 & 56.4 will be released for Edge MC and IO devices on Feb 9th, 2024! OS 55.5 will be released for Edge Gateways devices on Feb 9th, 2024. Additionally, OS 55.5 & 56.4 contain critical security and stability fixes, so we strongly encourage all Edge Device users to upgrade to this latest release. ## General Improvements

For the Tulip recommended foot pedal, we’ve updated the driver to accept newer models.

## Bug Fixes

- Better error handling in node-red tulip API nodes.
- Security improvements to edge device portal auth token generation
- Fixes issue where the dashboarding page loading state has been dismissed prematurely
- Fixes an issue where Edge devices were going offline intermittently.
- Connector Host will not start on boot/OTA if the user has toggled it off.
- (OS 56.4 only) Fixes an error where the editor in Node-RED 3 was showing spurious errors.
