# Set up an MQTT bridge on an Edge Device

## How to: Set up an MQTT Bridge

Beginning with OS58, this functionality will be available for Edge devices.

In this article, you will learn the technical details of using MQTT read on Edge IO/MC.

## Setting up your MQTT Bridge

Scroll down to "Service Configuration" and open "MQTT Bridge".

Hit the toggle to activate the MQTT bridge. Then, you can configure the details below. In addition, you can select whether you'd like to authenticate through a username and password or an API key.
