# SDK glossary

*A list of unfamiliar terms that we use in the SDK Documentation*

1. **Events** - Information emitted from a driver to the app running on Tulip Player
2. **Functions** - An command sent to a driver from the app running on Tulip Player on a driver, to trigger an action or request data as a response.
