# Schaeffler Optime Connector

*Seamlessly integrate predictive maintenance and condition monitoring from Schaeffler Optime with Tulip*

## Purpose
Streamline asset monitoring with using Schaeffler's real-time Optime solution. [*Learn more about Schaeffler Optime here*](https://www.schaeffler.us/us/products-and-solutions/industrial/product-portfolio/maintenance_products/optime/)

## Setup
Integration requires Schaeffler Optime Hardware and API Access.

[*Learn more about API Access to Schaeffler's Optime Solution here*](https://developer.schaeffler.com/)

Authentication is done via OAuth2. [*See this guide for revising the connector authentication here*](https://support.tulip.co/docs/using-oauth-20-for-connectors)

Request access to Schaeffler Optime's Sandbox with the email below to experiment prior to integration:
**cm_api_onboarding@schaeffler.com**

## How it works
Schaeffler Optime API includes a variety of functions to query machine status and condition. [*These are documented here*](https://developer.schaeffler.com/product-catalog/schaeffler-optime)

## Potential Use Cases

### Enable Detailed Machine Alerts On Operator Terminal
Use the Schaeffler Optime integration (with hardware) to streamline showing an operator detailed information on vibration and temperature to streamline escalation to maintenance

### Predictive Maintenance
Use the Schaeffler Optime API with Tulip apps and automations to schedule maintenance tasks and dispatch maintenance teams before equipment breaks down

#### Machine Metrics Dashboard
Incorporate lower level machine attributes such as temperature, pressure, vibration data into existing Tulip machine monitoring dashboards
