# LTS12 On-Premises Connector Host - April 2024

We are excited to announce the release of the long term support version 12 (LTS12) release of the on premises {{glossary.Connector Host}}. With this release, the Connector Host now supports MQTT connections natively, along with a number of bug fixes.

## Mutual TLS Support

With LTS12 Tulip has added support for Mutual TLS. More information on mTLS is available [here](https://www.cloudflare.com/learning/access-management/what-is-mutual-tls/#:~:text=Mutual%20TLS%2C%20or%20mTLS%20for,have%20the%20correct%20private%20key.).

## Subdomain Configuration

Connections can rely on separate subdomains for each function, allowing the support for multi-service architectures. A default subdomain must be provided, to be used for state management, and authentication detail validation.

## Image Input Encoding Support

Connector inputs can now be configured to respect specific encoding when being passed to your external systems. More information on this functionality is available [here](/r230/docs/connector-input-encoding-control).


## Small Improvements

* XPath can now process non-default namespaces.
* A new OPC UA client has been built, and replaces the legacy client.
* Communication from the cloud to OPCH has been changed architecturally, significantly improving performance at scale.
