Features and Improvements
API
- In the Tables API, the List Tulip Tables endpoint now returns tables in the order they were created. Previously, the results were unsorted.
App Export/Import
- Import and export now support apps up to 10 GB (previously 500 MB).
Automations
- In Automations, an automation that runs when a numeric table column changes will now also run when another automation writes a value that changes a number’s trailing zeros. Previously, such a change triggered the automation only when the write came from an app or the Tables page.
Connector Environment
- The connector online status details now note that status changes may take up to 1 minute to appear.
Connector Function
- In HTTP connector functions, you can now return a file or an image from a response body that contains base64-encoded file content. Add a File or Image output, extract it from the response body, and set its decoding to Base64. The connector decodes the value, stores the file, and the output resolves to a file URL. Files produced by a connector function can also be previewed directly from the Connector Function Editor's test results.
Connector Host
- When a connection test fails, the connector's Review panel now shows the reason reported by the connection, such as a refused connection or a database authentication error.
Connectors Page
- On the Connectors page, duplicating or archiving a connector now shows a confirmation message. For a duplicate, the message includes a link to the new connector.
Settings - Users, User
- On the email verification page, visiting a verification link more than once now shows "Email change/verification failed" with a list of possible reasons, including that the link was already used. Previously, the page showed a "User not found" error.
Stations Page
- On the Stations page camera list and in the camera-assignment views, IP cameras now display their configured name, making it easy to tell cameras apart. Previously, every IP camera showed the generic label "IP Camera".
Bug Fixes
Release 391 contains the following bug fixes:
| Referenced Ticket | Description |
|---|---|
| PLAT-59455 | Fixed an issue where an HTTP connector function with a cookie or header extractor lost all of its outputs in apps when the response did not contain that cookie or header. Missing cookies, headers, and status messages are now returned as empty values. |
| PLAT-59120 | Fixed an issue where browsing an OPC UA node with a large number of children showed only the first 1000 child nodes when configuring attribute mappings. |
| PLAT-58938 | Apps with large triggers now export faster, and their app elements copy and paste faster in the App Editor. |
| PLAT-58918 | In the Create and Edit Service Account modals, fixed a bug where no error was shown when an avatar image failed to upload. Now, the modal shows an error message, for example when the image is too large or cannot be read. |
| PLAT-58452 | On-premise Connector Hosts no longer hang while shutting down when a connector request never completes, so Docker can restart them automatically. |
| PLAT-58350 | Fixed a backend issue where, if a connection closed during login, background activity for that connection could continue and increase database load, which could slow the instance. |
| PLAT-58297 | Fixed an issue where a connection test on a latest connector host (post LTS17 OPCH) could fail for a slow but valid connection, such as a certificate-secured OPC UA server. Connection tests now use the site's connector execution timeout, so these connections have enough time to complete. |
| PLAT-58229 | Fixed an issue where the Connector Function editor showed {} instead of the encoded sample value when previewing input encodings. |
| PLAT-58070 | In the Player, fixed a bug where files stored in Tulip, such as PDFs and images, could stop loading after a while and show "The provided token has expired." |
| PLAT-55917 | Fixed an issue where widgets using variable colors in rich text could lose their color after being pasted into a different app. |
| PLAT-55910 | Fixed a bug where, after logging out while a SAML sign-in window was still open, logging back in with SAML failed with the error "SSO login flow is already in progress." |
| PLAT-54675 | Fixed a bug where rapidly changing apps via the Player menu while App Cancel triggers were still running resulted in an error. The Change App modal now locks until the change completes. |
| PLAT-47962 | On the Account Usage page, fixed an issue where Interfaces and Stations that are no longer active appeared as "Unknown Interface" or "Unknown Station", with no further identification. These rows now show "Deleted Interface" or "Deleted Station" followed by the item's ID. Usage data is unchanged; only the labels differ. |
| PLAT-47622 | Apps assigned to a station now show as "Archived App: |
| PLAT-46301 | Fixed a UI issue where the account logo appeared washed out on the Player instance selection and instance lock screens. |
