We're excited to announce the release of Tulip Mobile Player version 2.8.0.
Version 2.8.0 of Mobile Player will be released across all platforms on July 14th, 2026! If you have auto updates enabled, the Mobile Player application will update automatically. Alternatively, you can manually update from the app store.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where failed writes to the Tulip Player (mobile) local storage could leave behind orphaned data, which over time could consume device storage unnecessarily.
- Fixed an issue where saving to the same storage key multiple times at once in the Tulip Player (mobile) could leave behind orphaned data that slowly consumed device storage.
- The Tulip Player (mobile) now automatically reclaims orphaned local storage left behind by interrupted or failed saves, including data left by earlier app versions, freeing up device storage.
Improvements - Android Tulip Player now supports the "Remember me" toggle for third-party (SSO/SAML) login, matching iOS. When it is turned off on a supported device, each login opens in a browser session that does not retain the previous user's credentials so shared tablets prompt for a fresh login every time.
- Increased allotted internal app memory for Android.
