# Platform Release 254 - June 2023

We are excited to introduce the latest version of our software, r254, packed with a range of new features and enhancements to elevate your user experience. This release brings a host of **UI improvements**! We have revamped the **uptime visualization graph**, offering improved clarity on state colors, start and stop times, and durations, while ensuring accessibility for the color blind.

Our **analysis and charting capabilities** have been further enriched with a new "Reference Line" layer in Tulip Analytics, and x-axis grouping for the table template, making it even more user-friendly to analyze timestamped data. Under the hood, we've made significant **improvements to our app runtime**, ensuring that events are accurately associated with the correct user, even when display devices are reassigned to new stations.

Lastly, this version includes **bug fixes and performance enhancements**, addressing issues such as the erroneous display of "Deleted User" as the creator of new devices or stations in the Recent Activity Feed.

Let us know your thoughts in our [Community Forums](https://community.tulip.co/t/release-254-discussion-thread-june-2023/8516).

## UI Improvements

### Uptime Visualization Graph

We have updated the **uptime visualization graph** used for both Connector Hosts and Display Devices. This new UI will better expose what each color represents, the start and stop time of that state, and the duration in that state. Additionally, this new visualization is more accessibility friendly for the color blind. ![Uptime.gif](https://cdn.document360.io/7c6ff534-cad3-4fc8-9583-912c4016362f/Images/Documentation/Uptime.gif)

### Additional Helper Text

Added **helper text** throughout the user creation/modification UI makes it clear why you cannot edit disabled fields. ![Helper text.png](https://cdn.document360.io/7c6ff534-cad3-4fc8-9583-912c4016362f/Images/Documentation/Helper%20text.png)

## Analysis and Charting

### New Reference Line

A new "**Reference Line**" layer has been added to Tulip Analytics. This layer allows us to show a horizontal reference line on charts. Values that are above or below the line can be highlighted for immediate identification of out-of-reference data. Additionally, a label can be shown on the line to communicate what reference the line represents on the chart. This feature enables to help users to interpret data more efficiently. ![RefLine.gif](https://cdn.document360.io/7c6ff534-cad3-4fc8-9583-912c4016362f/Images/Documentation/RefLine.gif)

### X-Axis Grouping

The "**Group By**" feature for timestamps is now available for the table template as well. This enables users to group timestamped x-axis analysis without requiring expressions. This enhancement makes the functionality more user-friendly and easily accessible. ![x-axis-grouping.gif](https://cdn.document360.io/7c6ff534-cad3-4fc8-9583-912c4016362f/Images/Documentation/x-axis-grouping.gif)

## App Runtime

### Improved User Associated Event Logging

When a display device is assigned to a new Station, the logged-in user will need to re-login. Prior to this change, users would resume the progress of the user previously assigned to that station, with all events being associated with the user that last operated the station. This change ensures all events are associated with the correct user. ![Player Login.gif](https://cdn.document360.io/7c6ff534-cad3-4fc8-9583-912c4016362f/Images/Documentation/Player%20Login.gif)

## Fixes, Bugs, and Performance Improvements

Resolved issue where erroneous “Deleted User” was shown as the creator of a new Display Device or Station in the Recent Activity Feed if the user clicked multiple times in quick succession.
