# Enable HTTPS on an Edge Device

## How to Enable HTTPS on your Edge Device
*This is a walkthrough of how to enable HTTPS on your Edge Device*

1. Navigate to the device portal
2. Turn on HTTPS certificate toggle.

3. Upload your self-signed certificate and private key.

4. Refresh page.

When you re-connect to the Edge device, you should notice that the URL now has an https instead of an http.
