Tulip OS 57 Release - March 2024

We are thrilled to announce the release of OS 57 which includes several exciting updates and improvements that we believe our users will appreciate. Additionally, OS 57 contains critical security and stability fixes as well as exciting new features! We strongly encourage all Edge Device users to upgrade to this latest release. Details managing your Edge Device firmware or enabling auto updates can be found in the Tulip Knowledge Base.

Node-RED Improvements

Users can now utilize multiple tag lists (under namespaces) in Tulip Edge Device Node-RED tags.

FlowFuse

On Edge devices, users can configure and deploy Flowfuse. Flowfuse allows you to manage your Node-RED flows across your Edge devices. FlowFuse is completely optional and will only be installed on the Edge Devices when configured. Users will need their own FlowFuse account.

To configure, users must go to the modules section on their Edge device, enable FlowFuse, and paste their Flowfuse configuration into the text box.

In addition, the Edge IO and MC are FlowFuse certified devices.

General Improvements

• Expanded support for newer foot pedals.

Bug Fixes

• In Node-RED, users will notice better error handling in node-red tulip api nodes.

• Fixes an error where the editor in Node RED 3 was showing spurious errors.

• Fixes issue of Edge device going off intermittently and receiving "cannot get network configuration" error.

• Fixes issue where Connector Host will not start on boot/OTA if the user has toggled it off in Kado

• Security improvements to edge device portal auth token generation.
